They put their oldest queen in the nuc they sell, But we put 2024 Queen. Why is that important? That is how it works: the first year is to let the nuc expand to a full-size colony. The following year when you decide to set your colony for honey production, you realize your colony is not doing well and the population is not high enough because the queen is very old. Then you have to re-queen your hive which means you basically lose the nectar fellow and won't be able to harvest honey on that year. Selling older queens is a very common practice in this industry, that's how beekeepers keep their colonies strong and fresh by getting rid of their old stuff.

They put the oldest frames they have (dark color combs) which need to be discarded very soon, but we give you fresh 2024 drawn frames (light yellow color) that last at least 6-10 years minimum.

Nuc is a small colony consisting of bees in all stages of development, as well as food, a laying queen, and enough workers to cover from four to five combs. Nucs are the most common way to start a new colony for both professional and new beekeepers.​

Our Nuc bee hives are made from swarm cells of our breeding colonies, not artificial queen grafting practices. If you are an experienced beekeeper, you should know the difference. If you are a brand new beekeeper, be advised that colonies made from swarm cells are superior to artificial/commercial ones. These colonies are way stronger, more productive, healthier, and expand faster.
